Meeting new people that love each other as much as Jeremy and Gisyeni do, is always a pleasure for me. In the short time I spent with this couple, I found them to be friendly, down to earth, funny and adventurous… personality characteristics that I think make for lasting relationships. So naturally, when they asked me to be their wedding photographer, I couldn’t have been more pleased. And since we had so much fun together during their engagement session, I had a good feeling I was going to enjoy photographing their wedding day. Sure enough when I arrived on Saturday September 26th at the beautiful estate in Julian where they were going to get married, I found a wedding backdrop like I’ve never seen before. Family and friends had come together to help cook, set-up and orchestrate all the wedding details. The wedding took place in the late afternoon on a large outside patio, where chairs were set up facing a platform that overlooked an unobstructed view of the horizon and the surrounding mountains of Julian. When the ceremony started, the sun was shining along with a cool breeze, which helped make it the perfect wedding day.

I just love this photo of Gisenyi and her mother. These are the kinds of photos I strive to capture throughout any wedding day. Special moments in time that will pass away, only to be remembered through photographs later. And since I have a daughter myself, I can appreciate how happy Gisenyi’s mother must be to see her daughter so beautiful and full of joy on her wedding day.

I want to thank Jeremy and Gisenyi for giving me the opportunity to photograph their wedding day. I wish you both all the best in the future with your marriage and hope you two will live a long and happy life together.
